The Assistant Chief of Staff / Intelligence and Investigations coordinates for the Superintendent all matters regarding the intelligence and investigative needs of the Department.
Among several other responsibilities, the Assistant Chief of Staff / Intelligence and Investigations plans and validate the intelligence and investigation requirements, and coordinates the related priorities for the Department. He analyzes courses of action to determine supportability from a intelligence and investigation perspective, and allocates Intelligence, Investigation and Laboratory resources where needed. He also integrates collection, production, and dissemination activities to facilitate the use of intelligence products in support of the planning and execution of operations, and ensures cooperation with federal, state and local agencies in the Department’s investigative and intelligence functions.
Additionally, the Assistant Chief of Staff / Intelligence and Investigations coordinates the Internal Investigation process, ensuring that Disciplinary Hearings, Internal Investigations and Criminal Investigations on Department personnel are being completed in compliance with Department protocol.
