United States Military Applicants

In order to be eligible for the Indiana State Police Military Obligation Program for the 69th Recruit School selection process, you must meet the Basic Eligibility Requirements and the Military Obligations Program Participation Requirements. Please complete the following two surveys:

Basic Eligibility Requirements:

1. Are you a United States citizen?
2. Are you at least 20 years old but less than 40?
3. Is your vision correctable to 20/50?
4. Do you possess a valid drivers license?
5. Are you willing, if appointed, to reside and serve any place within the State of Indiana?
*If appointed to the lateral academy, strong consideration will be given to the employee's district of preference. Assignments will be made in accordance with the department's residency requirements and needs.
6. Have you earned a high school diploma or GED?

All applicants selected for trooper will be required to sign a conditional offer of employment.

Military Obligation Program Participation Requirements:

1. Are you currently in active status with a branch of the United States Armed Forces?
2. Are you currently stationed outside the State of Indiana?
3. Do you have military obligations restricting your participation and availability to travel for the required phases of the Indiana State Police selection process? You should expect to be available from November 30, 2007 to June 16, 2008.
4. Will your Estimated Time of Separation (ETS) conclude prior to May 12th, 2008?
5. Will you be available for testing by May 12, 2008?
