The holidays return to the Indiana State Museum with Celebration Crossing, presented by Marsh, with more holiday decorations, more children’s activities, and the re-created Santa Claus Express train. Visits to Celebration Crossing are included with regular museum admission.
Children and adults who are children at heart will enjoy riding on the new Santa Claus Express. The original train that thrilled generations of Hoosiers in the downtown L.S. Ayres department store has been retired, but it will be available for photo opportunities in the museum's Governor Frank O'Bannon Great Hall. The
new train combines the design and nostalgia of the original with today’s modern technology to make sure it will be running for many years to come.
Decorations on each of the museum’s three levels complete the holiday feel, including the L.S. Ayres store window display on the museum’s second level.
Just outside the exhibit area, children will be able to make crafts to take home, including their own train tickets or frames for their photos with Santa.
