Our Volunteers are “stars” for the museum.  Our pledge to our guests is that “the Indiana State Museum will create personal experiences to help our guests discover and strengthen their connections to Indiana while providing a new appreciation for the world around them and their place in it.”  Volunteers are crucial to making those positive personal experiences happen here at the Indiana State Museum.  Each month we recognize some of those very special volunteers who have made the museum shine and who have gone far beyond the mark in their commitment and dedication to the Indiana State Museum through their volunteer service.

Gary D. Ellis was the first official archaeologist for the state of Indiana.
