L.S. Ayres Tea Room

The L.S. Ayres Tea Room hours of operation are
Monday – Sunday, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

For an elegant lunch experience, the Indiana State Museum offers a detailed re-creation of the former L.S. Ayres tearoom_crowd2_happe.jpgTea Room. From 1905 to 1990, the Tea Room delighted generations of Hoosiers with its charming ambiance and clever menu items.

The Tea Room is once again a full-service restaurant, faithful to the elbows-off-the-table spirit of the original, featuring both contemporary fare and classics from the original menu, such as Chicken Velvet Soup and the children’s Hobo Lunch.

Reservations are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome. Call 317.232.1637 to make reservations.
