The L.S. Ayres Tea Room hours of operation are
Monday – Sunday, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
For an elegant lunch experience, the Indiana State Museum offers a detailed re-creation of the former L.S. Ayres
Tea Room. From 1905 to 1990, the Tea Room delighted generations of Hoosiers with its charming ambiance and clever menu items.
The Tea Room is once again a full-service restaurant, faithful to the elbows-off-the-table spirit of the original, featuring both contemporary fare and classics from the original menu, such as Chicken Velvet Soup and the children’s Hobo Lunch.
Reservations are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome. Call 317.232.1637 to make reservations.
