Q: How do I donate an item to the museum?

A: If you have an artifact, specimen or object that you are interested in donating to the museum, please contact us by e-mail. A member of our curatorial staff will follow up with you to learn more about this item and determine whether it fits into the needs of our collection.  Our primary interest is in objects with strong Indiana stories, although we occasionally bring in non-Indiana objects for comparative or educational use.

The first ice shaving machine for making snow cones was invented by Frank Thomas in 1925.
