“On The Air: The Hoosier Hour”
This original theater piece focuses on the fictional radio station WISM as they attempt to produce a variety show during the 1940s.
Review by NUVO: "WISM, "Indiana's smallest radio station," presented The Hoosier Hour, a fictional WWII variety show. The smorgasbord format and the frantic antics of the multitasking staff provided a delectable overview of radio's salad days, making the program accessible to young and old alike...The audience was kept busy, too, singing "Praise The Lord and Pass the Ammunition" and pledging not to cheat on rationing or price controls. There was a soap opera (the saga of "The Franklin Family in Hoosierland"), and an adventure "(Indy and Anna: Travelers in Time", a 1940s Dr. Who') complete with sound effects.) 4 stars
