In addition to the new exhibits in the recently completed visitor center, there are hiking and biking trails outside the village area. These trails have the same hours as the Site. The nature trails offer a unique experience at the place where the Southern and Northern biospheres meet.  In 2008, Angel Mounds is celebrating "70 Years of Discovery!"

Bluegrass and Barbecue - August 2
This fourth annual event is part of the "Music at the Mounds Concert Series."

Guest Lecture - September TBA
Lecture by Staffan Peterson, Indiana University prehistory research fellow, part of the "70 Years of Discovery" anniversary celebration.

Native American Days - September 26-28
This 26th annual event held at Angel Mounds State Historic Site is part of the "70 Years of Discovery" anniversary events.

Night at the Museum - October 24
This is the third annual Halloween Party held at Angel Mounds State Historic Site.
