César Chavez Day

March 28, 2008
9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Through his work in the labor movement, United Farmworkers Union founder César Chavez became a significant civil rights leader. This new festival celebrates his life, work, and legacy. Students will explore his impact on the labor movement and migrant farming in Indiana and discover how his actions brought about changes in agriculture and sociocultural diversity.

This event is included with museum admission and is free for members. School group and homeschool group reservations are required in order to receive the $1 per student admission fee. Call 317.232.1637 for registration.
