Crime Scene Clues: Case of the Absent Art – Who did it?

Grades 7-12
Science

A forensic mystery for advanced students to solve and finger the proper suspect!  A priceless piece of Indiana art has been stolen and students are taught the skills needed to determine who the thief is and recover the painting for the Indiana State Museum. The thief could be anyone - the mysterious art critic, the cranky old museum curator, the head of security or maybe it's the art collector's pesky teenage son!  Using distinct clues, students build on their knowledge of the scientific method, analyze forensic evidence to eliminate innocent suspects and ultimately determine the culprit of the crime.
