It is the 1940s and WISM, the smallest radio station in Indiana is hanging on by its fingernails as wartime shortages and budget cuts have reduced the staff to a few harried members. It is hoped that “The Hoosier Hour,” a new variety program, will be the station's claim to fame. This is the first show in the series and the staff is understandably stressed. Don't be surprised when the audience is asked to participate in hands-on activities such as sound effects and commercials!
Skits and songs include: Indy and Anna: Travelers Through Time!, The Franklin Family in Hoosierland, Ration Stamp Pledge, Gossipin' With Granny, Swingin' On A Star, Corns For My Country, My Shining Hour, Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition and more!
“The smorgasbord format and the frantic antics of the multitasking staff provided a delectable overview of radio's salad days, making the program accessible to young and old alike.” Gary Weier, NUVO newsweekly
