Chicago, Illinois, 1944
This small, tricycle-type row crop model was used as the all around chore tractor on the farm of Harold and Virginia Bremer, west of Crown Point, Indiana. The very maneuverable and dependable
tractor was also driven by the Bremer's young daughters and earned the nickname of "Little Red." The driver's seat was offset to the right to give the operator a clear view of one of the two rows of crops that passed beneath the tractor while cultivating. International Harvester was the largest farm equipment manufacturer in the world at the time this extremely popular tractor model was produced. This was also one of the few farm tractor models to be permitted to stay in production during World War II when metal was being diverted to the most critical military applications.
