The R.B. Annis Naturalist’s Lab is an interactive, educational space located on the museum’s first floor. Visitors can record their own animal calls or listen to an expert’s version of a wild turkey, cardinal and more. Each drawer in the lab is filled with specimens such as rocks, minerals and skeletons.
The Naturalist’s Lab is a great place to experience a variety of programming centered around Indiana’s nature and wildlife. Experts from the museum, Indy Parks and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources present demonstrations and programs on reptiles, wildlife, natural habitats, trees and more as part of the museum's Natural History Demos.
