The Indiana State Museum facility is itself about Indiana.
The building is constructed with Indiana materials including limestone, sandstone, steel, brick, extruded aluminum and glass. Therefore, the building not only houses the exhibits
and vast collections inside, but also is an exhibit itself.
The exterior of the museum can even be considered a work
of art since it serves as the canvas for sculptures
representing each of the state’s 92 counties.
