Internships

The Indiana State Museum offers internships throughout the year for undergraduates, graduates and recent graduates. Interns are not paid, however they may receive course credit. Through this program, we offer interns the opportunity to gain practical work experience, marketable skills and a broad exposure to museum work.

Indiana State Museum interns are eligible for exciting benefits. If you are selected as an intern, you will receive:

  • Free membership, renewable annually, after completion of 40 service hours
  • Free museum admission
  • IMAX® Theater discounts
  • Invitations to members–only events
  • A 10% discount at the Canal Café and Terrace, the L.S. Ayres Tea Room and the Museum Gift Shop
  • Free parking when working
  • Recognition as a valuable part of the Indiana State Museum team
