ISDT > Training/Deployment Intox EC/IR II Training/Deployment Intox EC/IR II

This page was last updated on April 1, 2014

Training on the new instrument is available at no charge beginning in March and will go through September at five offsite locations throughout the state.  Registration for the classes is now open through Acadis on www.in.gov/ilea. This training is available only to currently certified breath test operators. Officers not completing this free training will have to attend a certification school in the fall at the expense of their agency if they wish to conduct breath testing.

Reporting instructions and training material for download can be found here, as well as on the ILEA Events Calendar.

The Indiana State Department of Toxicology (ISDT) is replacing the BAC DataMaster breath test instrument with the Intox EC/IR II instrument (pictured below).   The half-day course will be held regionally and include lecture, hands-on training, and a recertification examination.  Only breath test operators with active certifications as of the date of the course will be admitted to the course.

If you have any questions or would like to provide feedback that could be beneficial in our planning, please contact Ed Littlejohn at elittlejohn@isdt.in.gov.
