The Indiana Maternal and Child Health Outcomes and Performance Measures Data Book, 1990-1999, provides a summary of data relating to pregnancy, birth, and mortality in the state and selected counties for 1990-1999.

Information for the report was obtained from birth and death certificates filed with the Indiana State Department of Health, and from transcripts of original certificates for Indiana residents giving birth in other states. The Data Analysis Team compiled these data and produced this report.

Changes were made to some of the data from 1990-1997 because of revisions to population estimates.
