Help care for Indiana’s Veterans….Be a volunteer

The Indiana Veterans’ Home is supported by countless volunteers who give hundreds of hours of service each year. They provide an enriched quality of life through companionship and by enhancing the care the residents.

Volunteers can be individuals, community groups, services organizations, school groups, or partnerships formed with schools, hospitals, and others. There are numerous reasons why people volunteer including self-fulfillment, personal growth and work experience.

Volunteering is also a way of saying thank you. At the Indiana Veterans’ Home, it can be a way of recognizing how others have made our lives richer and better through volunteering themselves to the service of our country.

“No matter how big and powerful government gets, and the many services it provides, it can never take the place of volunteers.” –Ronald Reagan
