All children admitted to ISSCH undergo complete medical and dental evaluation. Children are screened for infections, diseases, nutritional, visual and hearing disorders.Health facilities are on grounds to provide students with general and emergency services. The major emphasis is on preventative health care.
Counseling and psychological care is available and provided to any student in need of such services. Upon admission, each student will be assigned to a counselor and scheduled for an initial screening. At that time, it will be determined as to the extent of the need of counseling services.
Parental involvement is strongly encouraged. Visitation on grounds, weekend vacations, and summer vacations are scheduled. ISSCH is closed for two weeks during the Christmas season.
