2008 INShape Black & Minority Health Fair
The 2008 INShape Black & Minority Health Fair was a resounding success. This success could not have happened, however, without the help of our sponsors, exhibitors, and community volunteers. This year we had more than 37,000 attendees. The purpose of the health fair, however, is not just about the administration of over 132,000 free health screenings (which is how many were administered this year). Nor is it about how many corporate sponsors or how many free shirts we gave out. The truth is, when you get right down to it, the only thing the health fair is about are the people who attend. In fact, helping people is why education is at the core of the health fair’s mission.
