SARS Information for Health Professionals

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) is an illness caused by a coronavirus that was first reported in 2003. Since 2004, there has been no known transmission of SARS anywhere in the world but health agencies continue to monitor for SARS activity as a global level. Infection control guidance for healthcare settings is available for community-level preparedness and response to SARS.
