In September 2002, the ISDH Genomics Program received a four-year federal grant to implement Indiana’s state genetics plan, which includes the following:
The goals of the Genomics Program are accomplished with the assistance of genetics services providers throughout the state. The Maternal and Child Health Block Grant partially supports seven regional Genetics Centers. These clinics provide services to clients regardless of their socioeconomic status and ability to pay.
