Nutrition Program

The Senior Farmers’ Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides eligible senior citizens with checks to use at their local farmers’ markets to purchase fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables.

The health benefits of consuming fresh produce, the social interaction provided at the market, and the financial savings makes this a highly desired program for both seniors and farmers.

Eligible seniors must be involved with an assistance program administered through the local Area Agency on Aging. To find the closest AAA near your click here.
