Governor Mike Pence and Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann recognize Indiana’s biofuels industry as a significant piece of Indiana’s agriculture strong economic contributions to the Hoosier state. Indiana has 13 ethanol plants and five biodiesel plants that provide 620 jobs for Hoosier workers. In total, these facilities put at least $29.5 million into local farmer pockets and invest more than $2 billion in capital expenses.
Governor Pence and Lt. Governor Ellspermann encourage all Hoosiers to use biofuels because they are a renewable source of energy, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, provide cleaner air and create jobs for Indiana workers and new markets for Indiana farmers.
