2008 is the Indiana State Fair’s “Year of the Trees!” While many Hoosiers are familiar with corn or soybeans as one of Indiana’s commodity crops, most are not as familiar with the $17 billion economic impact of Indiana’s hardwoods industry.

To assist your news organization with stories related to the “Year of the Trees,” the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) in partnership with the Indiana State Fair worked to develop media tip sheets and PowerPoint presentations. All photos included in the PowerPoint presentations are available by request. Tours of the different facilities featured in these Media Tip Sheets are also available.
