Diversification

More and more consumers are purchasing organic and locally-grown foods. The niche markets created by consumer demand will lead to new opportunities for Indiana farmers.

Indiana has the potential to lead the nation in identifying diversification strategies that enhance the economic viability of producers of different sizes and areas of production. The ability to diversify and seek new markets will be critical to the future of Indiana farming.
