As of December 14th, contractors working on the Convention Center expansion remain ahead of the goals for minority participation in the project, which are 15% for minority-owned companies and 5% for women-owned businesses. Of $226 million in contracts awarded up to now, $44.8 million are committed to minority contractors and $20.8 million have been committed to women-owned firms. That totals 28.91% percentage for both categories, 19.74% for MBEs and 9.17% for WBEs.
Goals for both Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana Convention Center Expansion projects are 15% MBE and 5% WBE participation.
