The David C. Smith INvision Award The David C. Smith INvision Award

The Integrated Public Safety Commission is proud to open nominations for the annual INVision Award, created to recognize an individual who has made a significant contribution to the field of interoperable communications in Indiana. The INvision Award honors vision, creative approaches and consistent dedication to the mission of improving cooperation and coordination among all Indiana agencies and public safety disciplines.

Any Indiana public safety professional or first responder who has actively promoted improved interoperable communications is eligible to receive the award. To nominate someone, visit HERE. Alternately, email the following information to sfay@ipsc.in.gov:

  • Your name, agency, and position
  • The name of the person you'd like to nominate
  • Your nominee's county of residence
  • A description of  how your nominee has furthered the goal of interoperable communications in Indiana. (maximum 250 words)
  • Additional Information you deem important
  • A phone number where we can reach you, if needed

Nominations are due by Friday, September 28, 2012.

The INvision Award will be presented at the 2012 Indiana Interoperable Communications Conference being held October 23-24 in Indianapolis.
