The inaugural Indiana Interoperable Communications Conference will be held July 1 & 2, 2008 at the Westin Hotel, downtown Indianapolis. Highlights of the two-day conference include:
  • Rollout of the Indiana Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan (SCIP)
  • Information about the Public Safety Interoperable Communications (PSIC) grant
  • Demonstrations and training on use of the Communications Assets Survey & Mapping tool
  • Planning for future data interoperability and discussion of additional technology issues on the horizon
  • Regional working groups/scenario planning/standard operating procedures, including use of regional and statewide mutual aid talkgroups
  • 800 MHz Rebanding update
  • Site Trunking - "What causes it and how to we make it go away?"
  • SAFE-T system problems, solutions, best practices and minimum dispatch center equipment configuration.

Who Should Attend
Because space is limited, IPSC requests that each county limit its participation to no more than four attendees. IPSC reserves the right to move anyone registering for the conference to a waiting list. See the Registration page for a more detailed explanation of registration and attendance.
