On November 17, 2000 the IPSC and Motorola signed a Quantity Purchase Award (QPA) that locks in Project Hoosier SAFE-T’s equipment pricing for seven years. The combined buying power of Project Hoosier SAFE-T participants enabled the IPSC to negotiate significant pricing discounts on user equipment. The following provides an overview of the equipment pricing.

On all user equipment, the QPA provides for:

  • 7 year fixed-pricing per item. After 7 years, items on the QPA revert to a 20% discount off the current book price at the time of purchase
  • Items not included in the QPA will be offered to Project Hoosier SAFE-T participants at a 20% discount for a 10 year period
  • For any discontinued products, replacements will be available at a 20% discount
  • Motorola parts will be offered to project Hoosier SAFE-T participants at 20% off current parts catalog pricing (excludes test equipment, shop tools, supplies and radio software)
  • Prices reflect purchase of over 100 radios

Additionally, EFJohnson has negotiated a QPA with the Indiana Department of Administration.
