The state of Indiana holds the licenses for the frequencies used on Project Hoosier SAFE-T, and thus, the role of handling the 800 MHz rebanding project falls upon us. With more than 600 user agencies and 28,000 radios on the system, rebanding is a herculian task. The IPSC consists of a very small staff of 10 - pulling staff and resources away from our priority of building and maintaining the SAFE-T system was impossible. So the state has hired a consultant - EMR Consulting out of Terre Haute - to channel the process.
