IPDC INTERNET SUBSCRIBER SERVICES AGREEMENT FORM

PRINT THIS FORM, complete the information requested (SIGNATURE REQUIRED) and mail (along with your check, if appropriate) to: Indiana Public Defender Council, Attn: Internet, 309 W. Washington Street, Suite 401, Indianapolis, IN 46204. IPDC members may fax this form to the Council at 317-232-5524. All subscribers will be issued a username and password. If you have not received your password within 30 days of subscribing, please call the Council at 317-232-2490.

Information Services Agreement Terms & Conditions.

The IPDC web site is available on the Internet on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on a non-guaranteed basis. All data on the system is informational only and is not advisory nor guaranteed to be accurate. Users are strongly encouraged to "Shepardize" everything regardless of the creation date on a file. Subscribers assume all responsibility for ensuring that files downloaded or uploaded are free from any virus or other damaging effects. Files obtained from the IPDC site may not under any circumstances be placed on any servers, LANs, non-IPDC Internet sites or other storage devices intended for use by anyone as a commercial or non-commercial data service or data base. Subscribers must be IPDC members, private criminal defense attorneys or other criminal defense professionals. Subscribers may not be engaged in any law enforcement or prosecution activities of any kind, whether direct or indirect.

Information Regarding IPDC Web Site and the IPDC Listservs

IPDC Restricted Databases. The IPDC web site contains databases accessible only to IPDC Internet subscribers, including the casebank, expert directory, jury instructions, motions/pleadings, information on defending Death Penalty and LWOP cases, and more.

IPDC Listservs: The IPDC listservs are e-mail distribution lists that allows a listserv subscriber to forward e-mail and files to all other IPDC listserv subscribers. A subscriber sends one message addressed to the listserv and that e-mail (and any attached files) will automatically be distributed to all other subscribers. The following listservs are available: DEFENDNET (general discussion of legal issues); LIFEFORCE (for those defending capitally-charged defendants); TEAMDEFENSE (for factual investigators, mitigation specialists and sentencing consultants); JUVLAW (for those defending juvenile defendants); DNADEFENSE (for discussion of DNA issues in criminal cases); and APPEALNET (for discussion of appellate issues).
