Employer Update: September 2017

You may now modify and delete existing life events on both active and inactive employment records. The new Life Event Administrator role in ERM makes this possible. Your Security Administrator can add the Life Event Administrator role for your users. You will need to contact us only if you have one user in ERM.

After being assigned the role in ERM, you will need to:

  • click the Member dropdown,
  • select Member Life Event Management, and
  • search for a Member

Note: Life events must be deleted in reverse chronological order. If you have any questions, please contact EPPA at (888) 876-2707 or at eppa@inprs.in.gov.

Save time by checking your Missing Member Report

Don’t forget to check your Missing Member Report in ERM and enter the appropriate life events. To recap, the Missing Member Report allows you to view those members in the Submission Unit that have not had a wage and contribution transaction submitted for a period of time. The report displays the following:

  • Member’s Pension ID
  • Last Name
  • Payroll Date

Please note that the last four digits of a member's Social Security number have been added to the report to assist you in identifying members with missing information. A quick review of this list will help reduce the number of inquiries we have to send requesting Last Day in Pay (LDIP) information on your previous employees. If you don’t recall how to enter life events, review the Modifying Member Life Events section on pages 40-44 of the ERM Member Management User Manual. If you have any questions, please contact EPPA at (888) 876-2707 or at eppa@inprs.in.gov.
