Between SR 933 (Lincolnway) and 12th Street, INDOT will be widening and realigning SR 331 (Capital Avenue) to two limited access lanes in both directions with dedicated turn lanes at the Lincolnway and 12th Street intersections. Currently the rail crossing is at grade. INDOT is building a railroad bridge and the roadway will go under the railroad bridge. This project is anticipated to be completed by the fall of 2013.
The segment of SR 331 from 12th Street to the U.S. 20 bypass opened to traffic in the fall of 2012.
