US-231/SR-46/SR-67 Spencer Corridor Planning Study and Environmental Assessment
The Indiana Department of Transportation has initiated this study to assess the safety and efficiency of traffic flow on the state route system in the Town of Spencer, located in Owen County, Indiana.
- Establish the need for improving the US-50/SR-46/SR-67 corridor within the study area which consists of Washington Township in Owen County including the Town of Spencer
- Develop and analyze basic improvement alternatives including a comprehensive evaluation of the transportation, economic, and social impacts of these alternatives; and
- Make recommendations to INDOT on the programming of improvement projects.

A Community Advisory Committee meeting was held on September 27th, 2007 at the Owen County State Bank from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM to present the results of the Alternatives & Screening Report. Listed below is a summary of that meeting. The presentation and handouts that were distributed at this meeting were the same ones that were passed out during the public meeting that evening.
A Community Advisory Committee meeting was held on January 10th, 2007 at the Owen County State Bank from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM to discuss the Purpose and Need Statement.
