Summary and Results

Activities to complete the statewide inventory of historic bridges are underway. This schedule reflects inventory milestones and public meeting dates for these activities.

Inventory Schedule

  • Current activities include:
    • Preparing National Register Eligibility Results – final report is expected to be posted to the Summary and Results page by early August 2008.
    • Identifying Select and Non-Select Bridges for preservation – report is expected to be posted to the Summary and Results page in Fall 2008.  To be notified of this upcoming review period submit contact information via the Public Comment Form.

Public Meetings

INDOT, assisted by historical consultants from Mead & Hunt, invites individuals and groups with an interest in historic bridges to attend the following public presentations. 

Upcoming presentations may include:

  • County Bridge Conference – scheduled for January 2009 this conference is sponsored by the Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) and Purdue University and is held in West Lafayette.
