This site is dedicated to the employees of the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) who lost their lives while serving Indiana's citizens.

The information conveyed on the above pages was collected from newspaper articles beginning May 1969.

Please contact INDOT's Safety Manager if you have additional information about any State Highway Workers that died while working for the Department.

A memorial is on the grounds of the Indiana Government Center just west of the IGC North to recognize workers that have been killed or injured on the job.
