Project News

Preparation of the Environmental Assessment is underway. The beginning steps include contacting regulatory agencies, project management team meetings, identification of impacted property owners, preliminary field work and formation of the Community Advisory Committee (CAC).

Early coordination was sent to regulatory agencies and consulting parties on October 21, 2004. This coordination contained an invitation for the consulting parties to participate in the Section 106 process and a preliminary Area of Potential Effect (APE).

A public information meeting was held for the project on Thursday, February 10, 2005. This meeting was held at 5:00 pm at Kingsway Christian Church which is located at the corner of 10th Street and Dan Jones Road.. All interested parties were invited to attend this meeting.
