Greenfield District Orientation

New Employee Orientation – Greenfield, Indiana

On your first day, please report to the INDOT Human Resources Division located at 32 S. Broadway, Greenfield IN 46140, at 8:30 a.m. Upon your arrival, you will be participating in Onboarding, INDOT Orientation, and Safety Training. The orientation has been designed by the Human Resources Department and Talent Management teams to help with your transition into State employment.

During Onboarding, employees are given an overview of the policies, procedures and benefits available. Other items addressed are supplemental insurance plans, retirement, compensation, required trainings, attendance and leave, disciplinary actions, performance appraisals and other topics of interest.

What to Bring to Orientation

 Processing of new hires includes but is not limited to completion of the Form I-9, W-4, W-H 4, and direct deposit enrollment. New employees coming to orientation should bring a voided check for the direct deposit (or have a completed financial institution form) and acceptable identification for the Form I-9 form. Once Orientation is Complete

All new employees are required to take the following trainings during the first two weeks of employment.  Please click the link to locate the Self Service Quick Step Guide to complete required training courses.

  • Sexual Harassment Prevention – Instructor-led or web-based training (Please note that if you complete this during orientation it satisfies the training requirement.)
  • Ethics – Web-based training
  • Information Resource User Agreement (IRUA) – Web-based training
