ILEA New Hire

ILEA is requesting that agencies keep the academy apprised at all times of current employment status for all officers.  This will allow the agency rosters in the Acadis® Portal to be kept up-to-date, and ensure that each agency is able to review all of their officers’ training and certification records online.  The agency will also then be able to register their officers online for training in a timely fashion.  Failure to report employment changes properly may result in an inability for an agency to review data online for an officer, or prevent online registration.

When to use this form

Use the ILEA New Hire form in the following cases:

Hiring of newly sworn officers with no PSIDThese officers have no PSID in Acadis®, and their employment is being reported for the first time

Hiring of newly sworn officers with existing PSID:  In a small number of cases, newly sworn officers may have an Acadis Public Safety Identification (PSID) that had been provided to them by the IDHS for some type of first responder certification.  In these cases, that same PSID will be valid for the LE officer employment.

Hiring of officers with previous LE employment in Indiana:  These officers already have a PSID from their prior agency.

Do not use this form to report separations or changes in employment other than new hires. To report separations or changes in employment, use the ILEA Employment Change form.
