Success Stories
IGIC is collecting stories about how Hoosiers are using GIS to improve the quality of life in their
communities. For example, the Forestry Division of Indiana Department of Natural Resources is saving
forests from the Emerald Ash Borer, using GIS in their planning and response efforts. The Allen County
Emergency Operations Center is working with a volunteer group to locate elderly and disabled residents at
risk from flooding, and maintain the information in their GIS. Have a story you'd like to share?
Tell us about it.

SAVI User Conference
The first annual SAVI Users Conference takes place June 10 from 9am-4:30pm. The conference provides an
opportunity for users to share their success stories, learn how other users have harnessed the power of SAVI,
learn about new SAVI features, and participate in discussions about the future direction of SAVI. It also is a
great place for people new to SAVI to learn how it can help your organization. Every session will be interactive,
with opportunities for questions, discussion panels, and presentations. For more information, visit the
SAVI website.
