What is it?
The Arsenic Remediation Grant Program provides financial assistance in the way of grant dollars to eligible public water systems to help them achieve compliance with the Arsenic Rule (40 CFR 141.62(b)(16)). EPA set the new arsenic standard for drinking water at 10 parts per billion (ppb) to protect consumers against the effects of long-tern, chronic exposure to arsenic in drinking water. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management estimated 70 Indiana public water systems have unaddressed arsenic remediation needs.

Applications will be accepted at any time. However, funding is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.
