Designated Home State (DHS) Producer Non-Resident License

Under Indiana Code 27-1-15.6, the Designated Home State (DHS) Producer license is a non-resident license issued to an individual or business entity whose principal place of residence or business is in a state that does not license insurance producers for the line of authority for which the individual or business seeks licensure in Indiana. A person seeking a DHS Producer license must comply with all pre-licensing and continuing education/renewal requirements that apply to an insurance producer that is a resident of Indiana.
