Insight Garden Program facilitates an innovative curriculum combined with vocational gardening and landscaping training so that people in prison can reconnect to self, community, and the natural world. The Clean Lifestyle Is Freedom Forever (CLIFF) program at LJCF is an intensive substance abuse treatment program designed to provide male juveniles with the skills needed to lead productive, drug-free lifestyles. The unit provides these juveniles with a positive environment where they can learn social and cognitive skills to help them strive for success upon their return to the community.
The Purposeful Living Units Serve (PLUS) program at LJCF is a faith and character based program designed to transform the thinking patterns of the participants from a self-centered focus to a community and others centered focus. Through several different groups, both clinical and educational, the juveniles learn the importance of having a purpose bigger than the day-to-day self-centered mindset.
The Youth Transition Reentry Independent Unit, Y TRI, is designed to prepare students that will soon be returning to their communities with opportunities that will assist in the transition from restrictive placement to a community setting. These students will be taught life skills that will enable them to live as productive members of society and given the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to transition, reenter and independently make positive decisions while at the facility.
