The Indiana Minority and Women's Business Enterprises Division has executed cooperative agreements with the Women's Business Enterprise Council - Great Lakes (WBEC-GL), as well as the Indiana Minority Supplier Development Council (IMSDC), wherein certifications from these two organizations will be considered as recommendations toward the state's WBE/MBE certification. 

Certification Partnership Process

WBEC-GL or IMSDC must refer your certified company to the Indiana Minority and Women's Business Enterprises Division. This referral privilege is only available to WBEC-Great Lakes logoactive WBEC-GL or IMSDC certified companies headquartered in Indiana. WBEC-GL or IMSDC will submit a certification packet to the Indiana MWBE Division.

Once the certification packet is received by the State from WBEC-GL or IMSDC, your company will be receive via mail a notification:

  • Confirming the referral.
  • Requesting the State's application be completed
  • Requesting your company provide the State a copy of the company's financial records

A site visit may be required if WBEC-GL or IMSDC has not performed a site visit within the last three years.
