What is the White River Restoration Fund?

There is $6 million in what is called Natural Resource Damages that were recovered in the Consent Decree Settlement with Guide Corp. The White River Restoration Fund is divided into two separate accounts ($3 million in each fund). The money in these accounts is to be used to:

"...conduct or finance restoration projects designed to restore, replace, or protect natural resources in the White River Area, or natural resources equivalent to the resources that have been injured in the White River Area, and to defray administrative costs and expenses associated with the selection and performance of restoration projects."

White River Citizens Advisory Council (WRCAC)

The WRCAC is a council of members from various groups in the area of impact that consult with and advise the Trustees on the selection and implementation of restoration projects to be funded with monies from the White River Restoration Funds. The WRCAC meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at various locations in the area. These meetings are open to the public.
