IDEM strives to reduce hazardous air pollution through pollution prevention, or P2, by lowering or eliminating pollutants that are generated by industrial processes. This can be achieved through best management practices which not only reduce pollution, but create financial incentives for the business through efficient use of resources.
The Indiana Partners for Pollution Prevention (Partners) is a group of businesses and other organizations that volunteer for a public-private partnership with IDEM to promote pollution prevention and environmental stewardship in Indiana.
IDEM’s Compliance and Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) was created to help small businesses meet the demands of environmental regulations by providing free and confidential technical assistance to meet air, water and waste regulations. The IDEM CTAP website provides additional information technical assistance available to meet Indiana’s air toxics regulations.
