
The 2007 Governor's Awards for Environmental Excellence were presented on September 17, 2007 at the Annual Pollution Prevention Conference and Trade Show and on October 23, 2007 at the Association of Indiana Solid Waste Management Districts annual conference
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) recognizes regulated entities who work proactively to reduce their environmental impacts. The Governor's Awards for Environmental Excellence fall into six categories. These include Energy/Renewable Resources, Greening the Government, Land Use, Outreach or Education, Pollution Prevention/Source Reduction, and Recycling/Reuse.
