The Conns Creek Watershed Management Plan was developed by the Rush County Soil and Water Conservation District (RCSWCD) with the cooperation of the Shelby County SWCD. The watershed lies within the Flatrock-Haw Sub-Basin (05120205) and flows southeast to the Flatrock River in Shelby County. Primarily agricultural, the watershed has other rural water quality concerns and a steering committee was formed to discuss these concerns. The plan highlights the committee’s finding from public meetings along with other data and information gathered to assist in the development of this plan.

This plan is an early example of the watershed planning process. More work may be needed to provide for a comprehensive implementation plan for the Conns Creek watershed, however, there is significant information from which to draft the details with any available new data incorporated.
