Technical assistance is available for any organization interested in submitting their data. Many useful resources are available online through OWQ’s external data framework, including guidelines for data submission, monitoring guidance, guidelines for preparing a quality assurance project plan and links to relevant training available. Relevant manuals and resources for each level are also identified in this document.

For stream monitoring, the type of training necessary to meet Level 1 acceptance criteria is currently provided by the Hoosier Riverwatch program through several one-day workshops held throughout Indiana. The Indiana Clean Lakes program also provides a volunteer monitoring manual for lakes online. The program works with volunteers to answer questions and address issues that arise in sampling activities.

The training provided through the OWQ external data framework focuses specifically on helping organizations and individuals improve the quality of the data they collect. Detailed information on training for Levels 2 and 3 and a training schedule can be obtained online or by contacting:
